Can they keep it up ?

After a solid start to the season Arsenal's defence has really started to show signs of being a solid unit. With the defence only having been breeched once this season due to a goalkeeping error from Wojciech Szczesny during the 6-1 demolition of Southampton things look promising. The side who used to get bullied off the ball and never had the winning mentality have really shone this season and proved the critics wrong so far. The centre pairing of Vermaelen and Mertesacker is really one that reminds me of a young Keown and Adams duo. The question is now can we keep up the solidness, desire and winning mentality?

The arrival of Steve Bould (or Lord Bouldemort as I call him) has made an impact on our defence. The unit we now have means that our holding midfielder of either Arteta or Diaby has the freedom to drive forward and cause problems for the oppositions defence making us stronger on the break.

This then leads to Sunday. With Man City's strike force most would say they are unplayable but with the strong start to the season, confidence flowing and a solid defence the result could go in our favour.

Match Prediction - Arsenal 2 - Man City 1

Up the Gunners
